6th Annual HyspIRI Data Product Symposium and Aquatic Forum

The HyspIRI Decadal Survey Pre-Formulation Mission Team invites you to participate in our 6th Annual HyspIRI Data Product Symposium and Aquatic Forum:

June 1-3, 2016
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
Building 34, Room W150

This year’s theme is "Evolving the HyspIRI Mission and Products:  The Amazing Possibilities with Imaging Spectroscopy & Thermal Observations from Space.”  Our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Susan Ustin (Univ. California/Davis) on a timely topic:  “The Case for a Biodiversity Observatory from Space.”  Organizer: Elizabeth Middleton and the GSFC HyspIRI Team, with Robert Green and Simon Hook (JPL) and Woody Turner (NASA/HQ).

  • HyspIRI Science Preparatory Activities, Airborne and Satellite
  • Technology & Application Developments
  • Poster Speed Talks
  • HyspIRI Aquatic Forum
  • Terrestrial Ecosystem Priorities

  • EO-1 End of Mission Evaluations
  • Discussion Topics

We strongly encourage poster contributions relevant to these topics:  When registering, please indicate if you are submitting a poster or wish to request one of the limited number of open oral presentation slots.  Titles for posters or oral presentations should be sent to Lisa.Henderson@nasa.gov by May 11.

NASA’s Guest Badge:
All attendees must report to NASA’s Main Security Gate to retrieve their guest badge located at 8800 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt MD. Directions to Building 33 will be handed out at the main gate. Please contact Lisa Henderson if you have any questions at 301-885-6701.

For NASA employees, this is a "Non-Reportable" Conference.

All non-NASA employees must register on the HyspIRI website to be issued a NASA badge.

US citizens that are Non-NASA employees are required to register on the HyspIRI website before COB May 25, 2016.

All foreign nationals born in a DESIGNATED COUNTRY and/or who hold DESIGNATED COUNTRY citizenship must be submitted in IDMAX with all required documents (i.e., valid passport, valid visa and signed TTCP) by May 2, 2016. All foreign nationals born in a NON-DESIGNATED country and/or who hold NON-DESIGNATED COUNTRY citizenship must be submitted in IDMAX with all required documents (i.e., valid passport, valid visa and signed TTCP) by COB, May 2, 2016.

The Symposium Convener is Elizabeth Middleton, along with GSFC Team Members Petya Campbell, Dan Mandl, Kevin Turpie, and Steve Ungar.  Partners are Rob Green and Simon Hook (JPL) and the NASA/HQ Program Manager, Woody Turner.  Logistics and inquiries are handled by Lisa Henderson.
